Users can label tubes with a 2D barcode to better identify samples within the lab. To print barcode labels for a samples, first ensure that one of the label printing add-ons are installed, these are available in the Marketplace. Once a printer has been connected to a users account the option to print a label will be available, by clicking on the three dots on the sample information sheet.
eLabTip: users can also print labels in bulk for multiple samples at the time by selecting samples using checkboxes and choosing the Print option in the dropdown menu in the Sample List, Inventory Browser and the Advanced Sample Search.
- In the case of printing labels with a DYMO LabelWriter©, users can select the type of label they want to print from the available templates.
- When printing a label with a Zebra Label Printer, a pop-up window is only shown. Prior to printing a label, a .zpl label template for samples should be created first.
