Equipment can be made available in multiple labs within an organisation. When equipment within a user's organisation is shared with other labs, it will automatically be visible in the Inventory Browser within the Inventory section. Shared equipment will appear with a group icon next to the equipment name.
Note: equipment sharing can only be activated by the organisation's key users within the Organisation Admin Panel. If multiple labs in an organisation are using eLabJournal, get in touch with eLabNext support for more information about the organisation admin module.
Users can perform standard actions, such as booking a device for an experiment, within the Inventory Browser, as they can for equipment from their own group.
Shared equipment can be removed using the Equipment tab within Configuration, using the link button.
Note: sharing equipment within an organisation makes it available for multiple groups, allowing them to see the equipment bookings in the planner and to book the device for experiments.
