To assign or change a user's permissions, their user role can be changed. Navigate to the Group Members page within Configuration.
Select the User Role to be assigned to the user in the dropdown menu.
Note that when a new user becomes a member of a group, the default user role is assigned. This setting can be changed on the Permissions page in the Configuration menu.
When the user role is changed to blocked, the user can no longer access data in the group. In addition, this user is not counted as an active seat in a license plan. After blocking a user, the license assigned to their account will automatically become available for another user.
Note: an administrator cannot change their own role from an administrator. If an admin user needs their permission level changed, a second administrator needs to be promoted from one of the other lab members. this new administrator can then change the role of the original administrator.
