Exporting data from eLabJournal is an important function to ensure user data can be archived on an organization's local server. eLabJournal supports different options for exporting project information. Users can export data in PDF, HTML, JSON, or XML format. Optionally, organizations can generate their own export format using the eLabNext API.
To export data from the ELN, navigate to the ELN export page in the File Storage tab and click Select items.
Next, browse to the project to be exported and click the Export button.
The project is then added to the list of projects to export, allowing users to add multiple projects. Once the project(s) have been selected, click Export.
In the next step, users can choose to export the data as a PDF, HTML, JSON or XML file. Click on Export to start the export process. When exporting a ZIP file is created that contains the projects, including all studies and experiments within those projects, as well as all linked data files.
The generated export file will be added to the ELN export files list, and users can download, remove, or see the export file information.
Note: generated export files will automatically be removed from the system 1 week after their creation.
