To remove a user from an existing group, navigate to Manage Accounts within the System Admin Panel. Find the account by email address and open the Actions menu of the group from which the user should be removed. In the submenu that appears, click Remove User From Group.
Confirm the removal of the user from the group.
Note: removal of a user may result in loss of data in case a user is removed from its active group while working in the system
If the user being removed is the owner of samples within the group the sample owner can be changed. Select an active user in the group and click Save to confirm the removal of the user and transfer of samples within the group.
It is not possible to remove a group's owner. Before doing so, the group owner must be changed to another user with the role of Administrator.
