The DMP Tool add-on allows users to connect their eLabNext account to DMP Tool and display a list of their completed digital management plans (DMPs) for reference.
Marketplace Add-on installationeLabNext offers a wide range of add-ons and integrations to enhance the functionality of your digital lab platform. The categories include biobanking, utilities, productivity, and reporting. The eLab Marketplace is conveniently available within the eLabNext platform, making it easy to find, install, and start using add-ons immediately. To install an add-on, navigate to the Marketplace tab and choose "Install" for the add-on you'd like to add. Depending on the add-on or your organization-wide settings, some add-ons might already be installed for you by default. |
Note: users must have an active DMP Tool account in order to use this add-on.
To connect to a DMP Tool account, open eLabNext and click the DMPTool button in the dark blue toolbar at the top of the page.
On navigating to the DMP Tool page, a popup window will open and prompt the user to login to their DMP Tool account. Enter the email address and password associated with the DMP Tool account on each page and click the Continue button.
Note: if the pop-up window does not appear, check the browser settings and confirm that pop-up windows are not blocked.
On the final window, DMP Tool will request authorization to retrieve a list of the user's DMPs to read and download within the eLabNext platform. Click the Authorize button to confirm and connect the applications.
Once the connection is establish, the add-on will fetch and display an overview of all DMPs connected to the user's DMP Tool account.
For each DMP, the following information will be displayed:
- Title
- Project abstract
- Creation timestamp
- Last modification timestamp
- List of ethical issues
- Link to the full DMP for download from the DMP Tool interface
Note: the add-on will only display plans that are listed as "Finished" in their DMP Tool account. Finished plans must have answered at least 50% of questions on the "Write Plan" tab and cannot have marked the plan as a mock project on the "Project Details" tab in the DMP Tool interface.
