Users can perform bulk updates to multiple samples in the inventory. First, the user must select multiple samples from the Inventory browser.
Once the samples are selected, click the Bulk Update button.
The Bulk Update button allows the user to bulk update/change samples' default and custom fields as defined in the sample template. This allows users to update default sample fields, such as:
- Description
- Expiration date
- Name
- Notes
- Owner
- Quantity
- Sample parents
- Tags
Along with any custom fields the sample template contains
Once the desired field is selected, the user can choose which action to perform. This includes the options to Add, Replace, Remove or Clear depending on the specific field being updated.
