Users can label physical samples with a 2D barcode to better identify samples within the lab. To print barcode labels for samples, first ensure that one of the label printing add-ons is installed, these are available in the Marketplace. Once a printer has been connected to a user's account the option to print a label will be available, by clicking on the three dots on the sample information sheet.
eLabTip: users can also print labels in bulk for multiple samples at a time by selecting samples using the checkboxes and choosing the Print option in the dropdown menu in the Sample List, Inventory Browser and Advanced Sample Search.
- In the case of printing labels with a DYMO LabelWriter©, users can select the type of label they want to print from the available templates.
- When printing a label with a Zebra Label Printer, a pop-up window is only shown. Prior to printing a label, a .zpl label template for samples should be created first.
