The migration process transfers the core experimental data and associated metadata from Labfolder to SciSure to ensure continuity of research records.
The following data elements will be migrated:
Text Elements
Text elements from Labfolder entries are migrated as text sections within SciSure experiments, allowing users to continue editing and organizing their documentation.
Learn more about the Text element here
Files and File Attachments
Files uploaded in Labfolder entries (such as PDFs, spreadsheets, and documents) are migrated and attached to the corresponding SciSure experiments.
These files remain accessible and downloadable from within the experiment.

Images and Sketches
Images and sketches are migrated and converted into image sections within SciSure experiments so that visual data remains visible and linked to the experiment.
Tables
Tables from Labfolder entries are exported and converted into Excel files within the corresponding SciSure experiment.
These Excel files can be downloaded and edited if needed.

Well Plate Elements
Well plate data is exported and migrated as Excel files, allowing users to access and reuse the recorded data.
Chemical Structures
Chemical structures can be migrated into SciSure experiments. However, editing these structures requires the MarvinJS add-on to be enabled in SciSure.

Metadata
Key metadata associated with entries is preserved, including:
- Entry author
- Creation date
- Last modification date
This ensures traceability and maintains the scientific record.
Active and Inactive Users
Both active and inactive users from Labfolder are migrated to ensure that experiment ownership and authorship information remain intact.
User permissions and access rights can then be managed within SciSure.
